Mr. Sumner is a California licensed attorney and the founder of Teogatha Law. He has worked on tax controversy matters for taxpayers ranging from international conglomerates to individual wage earners. By using his skills, knowledge, experience and training as a zealous advocate, Mr. Sumner has helped clients pay less taxes, penalties, or interest to the IRS.

In his first years as a tax attorney, Mr. Sumner explored an array of tax controversy issues, both at a boutique tax law firm and then working on Wall Street at Deloitte in their tax controversy services group. He has worked for corporations, partnerships, private equity firms, insurance companies, small businesses, and individual wage earners who are involved in tax disputes with the IRS

Mr. Sumner decided to form a virtual law firm so he could attract a diverse set of clients who together share in a common problem; the Internal Revenue Service. Teogatha Law is virtual, so Mr. Sumner proudly represents taxpayers who live all over the United States of America from Toronto, Canada.

Education:
Mr. Sumner has a bachelors degree in economics from the University of Waterloo, a Juris Doctorate degree from Whittier Law School, and an LL.M. in taxation from Chapman University School of Law. He was sworn into the State Bar of California in the year 2006 and U.S. Tax Court in 2007.
